Since 2008, Extraudio has followed a clear direction: to refine each product until achieving a more natural, more balanced, and more emotionally authentic musical reproduction.
The 2026 Edition of the Discovery and Origin series represents that point of maturity. It is not conceived as just another revision, nor as an annual update, but as the culmination of a gradual process of evolution, critical listening, and technical refinement developed over many years around the same sonic philosophy.

More Class A where it truly matters
In the 2026 Edition, Extraudio has worked on essential elements of the internal architecture of models such as the X251, XP5 MKII, X800 MKII, XP-A1500, and XP-A2000, always with the same objective: not to change their character, but to complete it.
The work has focused especially on:
- New operating and bias points
- Refined linear power supplies
- Increased pure Class A operation in critical stages
- Optimized signal topology
- Improved electrical silence and reduced interference
- New RC2 control system and remote control on compatible models, with updated electronics and software
In our internal evaluations, the 2026 Edition represents a highly significant qualitative step forward in key listening parameters such as naturalness, control, soundstage, silence, and musical ease.
The result is a freer, deeper, and more organic reproduction. Voices gain presence, bass becomes more articulate, the soundstage feels more convincing, and the whole system simply flows with greater naturalness.

Previous versions remain part of the same journey. They share the engineering philosophy, sonic character, and musical essence that have defined Extraudio for years.
For this reason, the refinements introduced in the 2026 Edition may be incorporated through official upgrade programs for existing customers, whenever the model and configuration allow it.
