Extraudio continues to expand its ecosystem of reference solutions with the launch of the XAC1000 Electric Balanced Isolator, a new power protection and conditioning system now available on our website.

The XAC1000 has been developed to address a real and often overlooked need: to protect, stabilize and electrically isolate high-end audio systems without altering their sonic character or reconstructing the original AC waveform.

Stable electricity, intact sound

Unlike other products that regenerate or rebuild the electrical signal, the XAC1000 preserves the original waveform, keeping its natural harmonics intact.
This approach is especially critical in high-fidelity systems and vacuum-tube electronics, where the quality of the mains supply is an essential part of the final sonic result.

The XAC1000 does not “add sound.”
It protects the system so it can perform exactly as designed.

Electrical protection as a priority

At the heart of the XAC1000 is a medical-grade balanced transformer with Extraudio’s proprietary Sandcore core, developed in the Netherlands.
This non-ferrous core eliminates magnetic disturbances, reduces vibration, and blocks DC components present in the mains supply.

The system also integrates:

• Built-in thermal and overload protection

• Inrush current limiters (NTC) for controlled power-up

• Advanced EMI and RF filtering

• Full galvanic isolation

• Integrated virtual ground, particularly effective in rural or poorly grounded installations

The result is a stable, silent and secure electrical environment for all connected audio electronics.

Outputs designed for real-world use

The XAC1000 does not treat all outputs equally.
Each outlet is designed according to its actual function within an audio system:

• 2 dedicated high-current outputs for power amplifiers, with direct power delivery, EMI/RF filtering and virtual ground

• 4 independent outputs for sources, DACs and preamplifiers, each with specific filtering and galvanic isolation

This architecture prevents electrical interaction between components and ensures controlled, coherent power distribution.

No-compromise technical design

The XAC1000 features a full-size chassis, mechanically and electrically decoupled from the rest of the system, supported by custom-designed sorbothane anti-vibration feet.

Cryogenically treated outlets, together with the balanced/normal AC selector, complete a solution conceived as an essential technical component—not an accessory.
